Review: I asked my 7-year old son to review the book and this is what he said... - My 7 year old son's review: "I like it because it talks about ex-spiring (he means inspiring) stuff. I like the pictures and it is interesting. And also the speech bubbles are very funny and I like it. It really expires me!" My review: This book is probably a bit above my son's independent reading level, but is fantastic as a book to read with a parent. He prefers that I read most of the content to him, but will read aloud to me if prompted. It goes over some pretty high-level concepts with relatable metaphors and beautiful illustrations. My son was able to explain the concept of density to me using some of the illustrations and I caught him re-reading one chapter of it on his own. If your kiddo likes non-fiction/science type reading, I highly recommend this book, even if you still need to help with some of the reading.
Review: Reinforces the basics and adds details, fun format, great book - This is such a fun book! My 8 year old daughter has developed an interest in astronomy, and in black holes in particular. She can explain how they work and is fascinated by them. This book was a terrific combination of the basics she already knew, and additional details she could learn. It is presented in a fun format with lots of illustrations and accurate details. Perfect purchase to satisfy her craving for more information about this great subject.
