I bought a compressor and gun before but found the gun very erratic in its performance(poor atomisation and flow rates) so after reading reviews and not wanting to spend ££££ on a pro gun yet i bought this.....its awsome the control is great and consistent performance. Thanks.** A: ieal for any car paints including 2 pack warning use a suitable masking equipment when using 2 pack its poisnous **Q: Do you need an compressor?** A: Yes, you will need a compressor. 150ltr, 3Hp would be ideal, for example Sealey SAC1103B. **Q: Is this suitable for using with a cornice sealant paint like dulux sealer for plaster?** A: I would rather use an airless sprayer. hvlp and lvlp guns are for small spraying applications. I have a gravity fed turbine sprayer, it's flow is way too small for plaster. Once did try it for painted cornices it was more fatigue with the machine then with the brush. Was really pleased when using it for the first time. Cones with two little filters which is great for catching manky bits in the paint. The only reason why I have taken off a star is because the airflow adjuster is a diar rather than a screw. This means it can only be turned down to a certain level, which meant I could not achieve a speckle effect. The nearest to speckle is a spotty mist, but no larger speckles can be made. Great gun if you have no use for speckling, but for artistic effect/model making its a shame speckle can’t be done. Having said this, considering it’s so cheap (and feels like great quality) I am just going to buy another Sealey gun with a screw style airflow adjustment. Don’t forget to buy your nipple to attach the hose as this does not come with.
