Included are 2 Fender Washers 2 Wing Nuts and 1 Bolt, and directions for making your own Perch for your special Feathered or Furry friend. Perch Hardware Kit Assembly Instructions In your "perch hardware kit" there are 2 fender washers (one for each side of the cage wire), 2 wingnuts and 1 furniture bolt. Insert furniture bolt: Drill a hole in the end of your perch appropriate for the kit you purchased (1/8" drill bit for the 3/16" furniture bolt and 3/16" drill bit for the ¼" furniture bolt). Thread the first wing nut upside down (wings pointed toward the wood screw end of the bolt) and the 2nd wing nut right side up so the 2 wing nuts will lock together flat to flat (see picture). Holding the wingnut closest to the end of the bolt, screw the furniture bolt into the hole you drilled in the perch until all the wood screw threads are in the wood. Remove wing nuts: Using pliers to hold the wing nut closest to the perch unlock the two wing nuts (you may need a second pair on the outer wing nut if your fingers aren't strong enough). Remove both wing nuts. Install perch on cage: Place one fender washer on the bolt next to the wood, put the bolt thru the wire of your cage, add the second wing nut to the outside of the cage wire.
