Overkill, no.. but actually not the optimal setup. The best setup for a 4x4 would be 2x P600 units which are each half of a P1200. It's always better to split up panels into multiple panels to keep tighter, more even coverage. The Spyder can not even begin to compare to our PAR levels or spectral output. While it does have a "fun" design, it's far overpriced and under performing. When looking at PAR values, you need to also compare at what height the reading was taken at. For the P1200, the PAR readings are as follows: 6" - 3000+, 12" - 2390, 18" - 1827, 24" - 1440. Not only do we offer verified PAR testing on all of our lights, but we have live video to prove it. Anyone can type a number into a website without proof.. but we submit both live PAR readings and spectral analysis.
