The one provided with the original set came with a pathetic thin cable that quickly snapped. I went for the PM-425 as a replacement as I could see that it comes with a nice thick cable, as well as a handy on-off switch on the mike itself. Since purchasing the mike, it has not disappointed, and it does indeed appear robust. It even fits the stand. Just be aware that the jack is large so might not fit smaller sockets, as I found with the Hannah Montana speaker box. Fortunately the jack did fit the socket for the guitar jack so my daughter can still sing her heart out! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Fab microphone, fab customer service *by S***U on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 January 2019* Bought this to go with my daughter’s karaoke machine.
