The output is, well, outstanding, but hey, they're WS2812Bs AKA "Neopixels". I already had a prototype using FastLED and another array of WS2812B strips, except in 60/m pitch, so the project was built with minimal changes to code and design.I just wish the 144/m pitch strips were sold in longer lengths than 1 meter, but I guess at this price I shouldn't complain too hard about that (I'm aware that Adafruit sells them in 2m and 4m lengths, but... as much as I love them, I was under a bit of a time crunch and the delivery services from their area aren't exactly punctual).One negative thing I will say about this strip, however, is that the solder pads are tiny. You probably don't want to be soldering onto the middle of a strip unless you have the proper soldering iron/tip and steadier hands than mine. But for their intended purpose (soldering wires at the cut ends), I think they're a bit too small-- when I cut down the middle of the pads, I found that the output of a pixel can fail at the cut (I think it's due to the output pin getting bridged to ground during soldering-- the solder mask can lift off the copper when the strip is cut). So to help prevent this, I would essentially "sacrifice" one LED per mini strip that I would cut... and even then, I got one "dud" out of about a dozen mini strips. Considering that I had ample budget to throw at the project, this was no big deal, but it was frustrating to troubleshoot. There was also a little silicone adhesive here and there, but that was nothing a little isopropyl alcohol wouldn't get off.Of course, I sacrificed the waterproofing by cutting the strip-- I got this specifically to be able to solder to the back of the strip easily.
