## Description

From the manufacturer J-B Weld ExtremeHeat is formulated to allow for repairs to iron, steel and metal in high temperature environments (2400°F / 1300°C). When fully cured, this metallic compound can be drilled, machined or sanded. It is great for repairing cracks, small gaps, seam connections or holes in exhaust manifolds, pipe connections, mufflers, catalytic converters, outdoor grills, fire boxes, gas and commercial furnaces and water heaters. This product is water based, non-flammable and contains no solvents or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

## Questions & Answers

**Q: i have a small hole in my woodburning boiler in the firebox . will it plug it?**
A: I had a crack next to the chimney connection. I used this to fill it. Repainted the whole stove black. You couldn’t see where the repair was. Lasted years and was still ok when we moved last year.

**Q: There is a small chip in my oven which exposes a metal base. Could I use this to fill the chip which is about the size of thumb nail. Thanks**
A: As long as you can clean any dust and dirt off first i don't see why not

**Q: Will it seal a hair line crack in water pipe inside a heat exchanger of a domestic boiler ( temperature very high) ?**
A: I would guess so as this is used for exhaust manifolds which get very hot ..not sure if waterproof though

**Q: Can this be used to seal around exhaust tail pipe**
A: Yea..I used this to seal a flange join on my EGR exhaust pipe and worked well

Used it to seal a hole in a silencer box about the size of a penny. Not ideal as it was on the lower face of the box. Held in place with tape after application whilst curing. Winter application so curing took more than 24 hours. The seal held but the repair ballooned. Still in place but not an invisible repair. Useful as an interim repair.
