Have I now completely ruined it, or can I revive it? Thanks for any advice** A: To be honest , I seasoned it after reading everyone's comments about the state of rust, wax coating that had to be removed and baking off at a high heat . So I scrubbed my with hot soapy water first and a silver wire wool scrub , then dabbed dry and rubbed cooking oil all over it . And cooked off for around 2 hours in the oven . My kitchen and lower part of my house stank ! I ventilated all the windows . On finishing the process of seasoning , it worked very well ! I made home made burgers cooked steak etc .. But the amount of smoke and smell that gets created by this pan is never worth the bother of having one , unless you want your home smelling like a burger van !! I throw it out after using it twice ! Great taste , but smoke and stink never worth it due to the heat of pan that has to be super hot to get it to that searing tempeture . I think if you follow my process of cleaning and seasoning , I think the pan will be ready and in a working state to use as well as my started off . Hope this has been helpful !? **Q: Can it be used in the oven** A: Yes. When roasting steaks or thicker cuts of meat, I like to get a good crust and grill marks on the stove and then finishing it in the oven. Of course you'll have to be very careful when you remove it from the oven, because the handle will be sizzling hot. **Q: Hi, can I use this pan on an electric inductIon job?** A: I just used mine to cook a tostie, but it went really hot on number 4 induction, and I could smell burning. The hop was so so hot. I will NOT be using it again on my induction, it will break the hob.
