I trawled the internet for a reasonable quality kids paddle for occasional use but couldn’t find anything. So I took a chance on these, having shafts coming in 2 parts, being able to be converted. And I was right. If you just use one part of each shaft and screw them together with a paddle at each end, you can assemble them as a small double ended kayak paddle, approx 120cm in length. The quality is decent enough and is perfect size for a small child, maybe up to 8/9 years old. We’ve only taken her kayaking on the canal but they got a fair bit of bashing around and cane out unscathed. For leisure use, these are excellent value for money and even come in their own carry case. Review: Oars - The oars are sturdy an the price was very reasonable. They come apart for easy storage when not in us.
