The pages have a fine dotted line to remove them without leaving a spiralled edge. Hope this helps! **Q: Is the paper thick?** A: At 80 lb it is not as thick as watercolour paper my usual paper of choice for pencils. The paper takes good quality coloured pencils and dry watercolour pencils well, blending is not a problem although I personally have not tried mineral spirit. It has also been a nice surface for hard pastels even though it is quite smooth. For sketching and drawing the tan background is easy on the eye. **Q: is this a heavyweight paper to use solvent on?** A: No, the paper is as thin as printer paper, so I suggest you use pencil/pastel based medias. Solvent would soak through the paper. **Q: Can I paint on It?** A: Yes acrylics and gouache are fine. If using watercolor obviously minimum water.
