Those parts require thermal pads. When applying on the GPU die, just be sure to cover the whole silvery die part (use excess). **Q: is it electrically conductive?** A: Not electrically conductive, non-corrodingNT-H1 possesses a very low dielectric constant and a high dielectric strength. Therefore, there's no danger of short-circuits even in case of direct contact with components or conducting paths. My application of a rival brand did not - please help** A: In my experience (as an Intel CPU user) application of Noctua's NT-H1 compound is not only straightforward but is reliable in delivering sustained temperature results. In fact I have never found it necessary to replace the compound other than during any maintenance requiring CPU removal or upon CPU replacement/upgrade. In fact I have had to replace CPU's more frequently than this compound! Very good result ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CPU thermal paste *by S***R on 22 December 2025* Nice quality thermal paste, help to reduce heat temps on CPU. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth it *by J***N on 3 March 2025* I repasted my 2020 MSI GE66 laptop after 3 years and wow the performance is crazy. The laptop had developed lag and other graphical issues but after this repaste the laptop runs 20-30 degrees cooler and the Noise is far less. The laptop runs well and the paste was easy to apply. I wish it came with cleaning wipes but I used a Q tip with Alcohol and got rid of the old paste. Id say 1g is all you need for a laptop and now I have excess laying in my drawer.
