The rugs themselves are very thin, but I am pleasantly surprised that they capture so much dirt. I thought that they weren't going to work and my floors were going to be just as dirty but whatever this material is is great. I do wish they were a little bit thicker but I live with two blue collar men who come home with muddy boots. It's hard to find 3 matching rugs in different sizes without spending a fortune.
