Once I had extra hands helping position it took no time. Lined up perfectly, bolts went in smoothly, the tapped bolt holes were in the frame from the factory. Screwdriver for plastic pins in trim piece, 14 mm socket for plastic bolts on trim piece, 17mm socket for hitch bolts, torque wrench (honestly if you're just using for accessories, bike rack, cargo carrier, etc, you probably can just use a good size rachet). The packaging protected the hitch and more importantly didn't allow for the box to be torn up. The hitch bar follows the body contour so you only see the hitch sticking out verus the bar hanging down.
