Des it include the removal tool? A u shaped piece of metal.** A: This valve does not have a removable cartridge so does not need a key. After it eventually stops working, you need to replace the complete valve. If you want an item with a removable valve you need the HV30C (this is an HV30, the C is important) **Q: Are these genuine Aladdin auto vents? I bought 2 and there supposed to come with a blue card and 5 year warranty but mine came in a clear plastic bag.** A: Yes they are. I installed one in a new bathroom radiator some time ago and have had no problem with it **Q: How do I get it to work? It's not doing anything.** A: Once fitted, leave in situ for at least 7 days. There are two things to bear in mind, firstly on install you can get a little water inside the valve which takes time to dry, the valve won't vent until completely dry. They were easy to fit (about 10mins at the most - though see below) and have been very effective - I haven't needed to bleed a radiator since, and all rads are noticeably warmer right to the top. In one case, I did have an initial problem (a slow leak), which turned out to be a failure to 'seat' sufficiently tightly against the radiator edge, due to many years of paint etc build-up. (The plug which the valve replaced did not seal in the same way.)
