Review: Feels like a good quality build and worked perfectly with appropriate light bulb. - I gambled on buying this dimmer control, knowing from other reviews, that the device did not work with everybody's lamps. REVIEW SUMMARY Build quality feels good, but, INITIALLY it did not work with either of my LED lamps. However just before posting my initially prepared review, I thought the fault I was experiencing may be due to me using an inappropriate light bulb. This suspicion was confirmed by the dimmable controller working perfectly after I change the light bulb I was using in the lamp. To be fair, my final rating is based only on using the dimmer controller with the light bulb sold as "Dimmable" and the dimmer controller's build quality. ____________________________________________ DETAILED REVIEW I have two LED lamps and will describe how they each functioned separately. LAMP INITIALLY FITTED WITH, STANDARD LED LIGHT BULB - For dial positions within the, "LIGHT FLICKERS ZONE", (see images 1 & 2), using the standard LED light bulb (see images 3.1, 3.2, 3.3), the light flickered at a visibly high frequency, (see first part of video). - For ALL dial positions BELOW the, "LIGHT FLICKERS ZONE", the flickering stopped BUT the brightness was fix dim, as shown in image 5 and NOT of variable brightness. - For ALL dial positions ABOVE the, "LIGHT FLICKERS ZONE", the flickering stopped BUT the brightness was fix bright, as shown in image 6 and NOT of variable brightness NOTE - My camera's exposure setting was locked the same, between images 5 and 6. So, one more time, for the record, with the correct light bulb, (sold as, "Dimmable bulb" - see images 9.1 and 9.2, 9.3), the dimmer controller worked perfectly. **Q: Will the dimmer socket work with a 15 watt mains fan (to slow it down)?**
A: I am not sure about that. I would not risk it. I heard that the motor got burnt because of using dimmer for lights. It might cause fire as well. I research it and I found some useful comments about it.dmxtothemax says: 'You will need a proper fan speed controller,Normal light dimmers are not intended to control fan motors,Electronic fan speed controllers are readily available.I am not sure if lamps can be put on these,electronic speed controllers.So perhaps you might need a separate line for the light.'hyunelan2 says: 'The reason you don't want to use a regular dimmer switch with a ceiling fan, is that the dimmer reduces the power to the fan motor - making it hard for the motor to work. This will lead to shortened fan motor life, a humming noise, and at worse-case - possibility of fire.'

**Q: I have a 50w tubular heater, would this work if i plugged it in to reduce the heat?**
A: I also have a tubular heater  ( but 80watt) , and I use a plug in timer  ( so many hours on ,then so many hours off)  and seems to work fine.

A: No it won’t. You need dimmable bulbs as well as the switch..

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ LAMP DIMMED SUCCESSFULLY. IT WORKS!

If you have dimmable bulbs, this little gadget works a treat. The dial knob is a little insensitive, and seems to go from 0-10 brightness rather suddenly, but it's worth noting that I'm not an electrical expert, so I can't be sure if the dial would operate better on a different lamp, or using different dimmable bulbs. Having said that, it does the job and we only want to keep our lamp on one brightness level. Just make sure the bulbs are actually dimmable and you'll be fine.
