I would have returned it and asked for a replacement but as I live it France, this is always an expensive option so I super glued it back into place and hope it will be ok. The trivet itself is nice but smaller than I expected ( 17.5 cm long and 13 cm wide ) I found it hard from the description on Amazon to know how big it was before ordering but most people seemed to say it was fairly large. I don't think it is big enough to rest a decent sized saucepan on and certainly not a casserole dish but it's ok for what I use it for which is to rest a ceramic cafetiere on. It cost me as much in delivery to France as the trivet itself cost, so for me it turned out to not be particularly good value but it is attractive and if you order it in the UK and get free delivery, then it's worth having. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not close enough to the picture to be great *by Q***I on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 January 2018* The trivet itself has a good grain and is a decent thickness. My real disappointment is that the piece I have has no bark around the edge. I believe it has been sanded down as it is completely smooth. I do understand this is a natural product and that it can differ from the picture shown but not having any roughness to it makes if feel more like something that has been mass produced rather than hand crafted.
