It is a headache when you connect your dash camera or other digital devices into the always power on cigarette socket. To prevent draining power from the car battery. I connected this cable to my dash cam and used it as on off switch. It works very well and I can control my dash cam power easily. I can leave it on for 24 hours parking mode if I park in an unsafe area but I can also turn it off when I park inside my garage. The cable has an audible click sound when pressing it and the length is good enough for attaching to any device.
