The entire apparatus sits 5" from the wall (5" wall to front of Orbi. **Q: Someone mentioned that if you name this the same name and use the same password you dont have to reconnect all of your devices, has anyone done this?** A: That is correct. I did this when I set up an IoT network in the RBKE963 (which replaced an older Orbi router) in order to avoid re-configuring about 30 smart home devices. Worked transparently. I then set up separate networks for our phones and computers, a 6E network for future devices, and a guest network. Be cautious that the password or passphrase you use is sufficiently long and complex to be secure, and best to choose different logins and complex passwords for each of the networks you may set up on the Orbi. **Q: What size drill bit to use to pre-drill holes for the drywall anchors?** A: I actually just used 3M command strips so that I didn't have to put any holes in wall. Has been working great. **Q: Is the Circle feature on this as slow as on the old Orbi?** A: This doesn’t have Circle feature anymore. It now has its own Netgear Parental Controls, which is only a trial version. I just upgraded to the AXE11000 Quad Band 6E Mesh system and the speed and range is much improved. We have a large property with another separate studio, and two Orbi's in the main house, one outside under a covered porch (in a waterproof enclosure), and one in the studio. Took a while to set up correctly but now very stable. Great system.
