本作は、復活後のANTHEMのサウンドを十分に楽しめるアルバム。1曲目のへヴィかつメロディアスなナンバーは、メタルファンなら鳥肌ものだし、6曲目の憂いのあるナンバーには泣きがある。坂本英三氏のヴォーカルは言うまでもなく、清水昭雄氏のギタープレイも素晴らしい。何よりも、こういったクオリティの高い作品を現在でも提示し続けている柴田直人氏には感服・・・。個人的には高校生〜大学生の頃、ANTHEMのアルバムを聴きつつ、生活していた記憶があるのだが、その後、人生に行き詰まり(・・・涙)、そんな自分に勇気を与えてくれるアルバム。いずれにせよ、本作は、ANTHEMの底知れぬパワーを感じることのできるアルバム。リーダーの柴田直人氏も、いろいろと苦悩があった、と雑誌で語っていたが、そんな苦悩の中、こういった素晴らしいアルバムを発表することのできる精神力には脱帽です。

私にとって正当派メタルとは、ジューダス・プリースト、アクセプト、そしてこの日本のサーベル・タイガー、アンセムである。私にとっての四天王!本作は、再結成後、最もヘヴィメタルを究めた作品。2004年の最も嬉しい出来事はこれを聴けたこと。タイトル曲最高です。
