Phone at 99% charge 1 day later (with no phone calls).Right off the bat, don't panic if your phone doesn't turn on immediately after you are finished. Plug it into your charger, give it several seconds and you should see the 'battery' picture showing that the new battery needs charging.A few tips:-Instead of hunching over your table, stack some large books on your table or even use a cardboard box so you can work on it at eye level. Makes it much easier.-Put the screws and parts in a bowl as you remove them so they don't run away, (guess that's why this kit gives you extra screws.) All the screws are magnetic except the very top-right one, so put all the magnetic screws back in first so you can find that last non-magnetic one. You'll need the tweezers to drop that one in place.-The top plate pushes against the ribbons so you'll need to slip a finger in between the two halves to hold it in place to screw it back down. Put one of the magnetic screws on the tip of the screwdriver beforehand, ready to go.-Take a good look at the old battery ribbon connector to see how it's shaped, and try to duplicate it on the new one. It needs to be curved into a "U"to slip into the space alongside the battery. Use the plastic flat end tool to gently push it in after you attach the connector. The entire ribbon should be alongside the battery, not on top.For me the hardest part was removing the old battery as it was really glued down. All the plastic tools worked great getting the cover off but then they all broke trying to get the battery out. At this point it took a butter knife to gently pry it out from the left side (stay away from the side buttons.) There's a spot about midway along the side on the BUTTON SIDE ONLY. Don't try to pry from the right side or bottom/top that contains the electronics. If it wasn't so well glued in, I could have easily replaced it without undoing the top ribbon connections. I even tried heating it from the bottom with a blow dryer but it didn't seem to help much.Power down your phone before starting, but watch it to see if it turns back on. Mine kept turning back on several times until I finally disconnected the battery.So now the phone is recharging as I'm writing this. This kit has everything you need to replace the battery. The instructions were good but watch a YouTube video on how to do it. Making sure the connectors for the screen were properly connected (snapped type) took multiple times before the white vertical lines went always when phoned powered up. Search on net indicated data screen connectors plugs not properly seated...after fix, it works great. The most difficult steps were to open the screen and to remove the old battery. Plastic tools were warping and breaking while doing that. Please don’t rely on the instructions in the kit. It is not necessary to remove the screen completely. It might be helpful to have someone hold the screen at 90 degrees while you are replacing the battery.
