I first ordered one of the 5L models, and it unfortunately came damaged, with the thermometer display severely misaligned. I sent it back, and desertcart sent me another one. I have had this 5L waterbath for a few months now, and it heats up very quickly. I love the touch display with no physical mushy buttons that some older waterbath models may have. It also functions as intended. The 5L model is big enough to hold a 500ml plastic, short media bottle from Sigma-Aldrich and a tube rack with x4 50ml test tubes. However, that's the maximum things it can have, at least for me, in the 5L model. Attached is an example of how big the 5L version is. It is also big enough to hold two 500ml plastic media bottles, but no tube rack. If you require more than two media bottles and multiple samples to thaw (such as fetal bovine serum, frozen cell stock, etc.), I suggest buying a bigger version. I have a small cosmetics company that requires powders and chemical beads to be melted down. This can take hours sometimes. This little water bath has saved me so much work because I can just set it and forget it. It has quite the user manual so I'm sure it has lots of things you can set, but I don't need it to do much more than heat up and hold temperature.
