I adopted my dog from the local shelter a few months ago and they provided these for their dogs that enjoyed chewing. My dog immediately took to it and went to her special dog bed to enjoy all the chewy goodness. It kept her occupied for at least an hour and her tail was wagging the entire time. It is a great distraction for her when guests are visiting. I was a little concerned with the red or brown color of the chewy rubbing off on her dog bed or the carpet, but nope...none of that happened. It was thick enough to allow her to get some good chewing, I cant speak to the taste but she did not complain. I would suggest supervising you dog while they enjoy this, just to watch for any choking or problems (we had none). I try to limit these to once every other week or so and make sure there is plenty of fresh water available; I notice that my pup gets very thirsty after finishing her chewy. I love that it isn't a rawhide product and it doesn't seem to affect her bowels either way. The value is great and I think I got them cheaper here than in the pet store I usually go to...win on price and convenience!!! They were delivered on time and in a typical bubble wrap envelope and the packaging was clean and intact....nobody wants dirty bones! I will continue to order these for her and continue to limit it as a special treat.
