The 5-star rating is for the replacement "regular" ultra slim model that the seller sent me after I commented that the "extra firm" version that I originally ordered had made my neck pain worse. I know that firmness is a matter of personal preference, but for me the regular version is definitely much more comfortable than the extra firm one. In fact, the regular version is absolutely wonderful - soft enough to be super comfortable but firm enough to alleviate my neck pain.2. 5 stars also go to the seller BlueWave for fully standing behind its products. BlueWave rep Ken sent me a replacement pillow without being asked to do so when he found out that the firm pillow was not working out for me.3. Both "regular" and "extra firm" pillows are of high quality construction.4. They were both well-packaged and arrived in pristine condition.5. Both were odorless on arrival, and did not have to be aired out.6. Both are under 3 inches thick, and are among the thinnest pillows available.7. I had originally ordered the "extra firm" version as I had hoped it would support my neck better. Many of those considering this product are likely, like myself, to suffer from neck pain. Alas, every night that I tried using it, I woke up with a really painful neck. The "extra firm" memory foam did not seem to contour to and support my neck the way I expected. Possibly, the extreme firmness of the pillow meant it was not being compressed that much by the weight of my head, so it was effectively tilting my head forward like a thicker pillow; the firmness could be negating the benefits of an ultra thin pillow.8. Fortunately, the regular version seems to offer more than sufficient support for my neck. In fact, I believe I have finally found my perfect pillow. Everything else I tried was either too small (designated knee pillows) or too thick (regular pillows). This pillow is great quality and keeps its form between my knees without being too thick or hard.
