Because it's not bulky I wouldn't go using my phone as a hockey puck with this case, but it is more than adequate for the occasional drop. What you gain is a good protection for iPhoneX. Fits perfectly, even with back glass protector on the phone. Case provides good grip on the phone. No issues with wireless charging. Extra benefit is the fact that the case has thickness that protrudes beyond the rear camera lens.....I think the description of the case does better job explaining. Bottom line is that when you put the phone down, it's not sitting on the protruding lens where I'm afraid that I'm scratching the lens cover or phone always tipping up and down when using it on the table. It also has nice cushion on the sides. Bad news is that it will add to the size of the phone due to all these protection. But this is true of most cases unless you get really slim and thin cover that does not provide protection for the phone at all. I only had it for about 5 weeks, so can't speak about yellowing. It seems very durable and good quality.
