About 2 years ago, it would start to shut down shortly after the weekly maintenance test with an error of either, low voltage, under run or over run. It would only happen if the temperature was between 33 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Usually, when I would manually start it, it would be fine. But lately, it was erroring out a lot. Someone suggested to change the voltage regulator. Well, it’s been 5 or so weeks now and no issues at all it took only 1/2 hour to replace. I’m real happy because I am not ready to switch out my generator yet. I couldn’t find any videos but it’s real easy to find down at the ground level, once you take the top and 2 sides off. Only a screw driver is needed. One small issue I had was after I changed it out, I had to let it sit for 5 minutes before it would start. I assume it’s because the capacitors needed charging. The error I got when I first tried to start it was low battery.
