We put 2 by our bed, & 1 on our dinette, & we got very low watt/lumens bulbs since it's a small space & doesn't take much to light it up, & they're perfect! We really like that the lamp base is ceramic, as many small inexpensive lamps are plastic- we feel it adds quality to them & without sacrificing price to do do. They were packed very securely to protect the ceramic, but 2 shades became dented in transit, but I contacted the company w/ pictures & they sent replacement shades immediately, so excellent customer service & backup to their product as well.
