If you have a Hon cabinet that uses clips you most likely have a wooden cabinet where as these bars will not work for. **Q: Bought 2 hon 36" wood lateral cabinets used. missing "l" shaped side/side bars (small ext. on ends) in one. not found here, which would fit correctly?** A: These file bars will only work in an all metal cabinet. Wooden cabinets even if they are name brand are made more uniquely and these bars will not work. We can only recommend custom cut bars that would hang with clips. These bars will only work in an all metal cabinet and not in wooden cabinets. When measuring - please measure the complete exterior width of the entire cabinet and not just the drawer. From there you should get 30, 36 or 42". The file bar will come shorter to fit into the cabinet. And lastly if you do have a HON all metal cabinet making sure if you have an Oldstyle HON cabinet or a Newstyle cabinet. These file bars are not interchangeable between the 2 styled cabinets.
