The smell finally went away after airing it out for 1 month outside. After using this play pen for a few months we are highly pleased with the quality and it looks really nice in our place. Thank you to the company for helping us out and being so nice to work with. Would definitely buy again. This play pen is beautiful and WAS easy to assemble, the only thing im not pleased by is the fact that it does not look like thick Oxford cloth, it’s literally just plastic, the smell right out of the box is also very strong of chemicals. I had to open all of my windows to air out the house and the smell is still lingering. I really thought the cloth the playpen was made with was going to be thicker and not thin plastic and also not so pungent of plastic/chemical smell. Did I receive the wrong product or something? Does everyone else’s smell like this?! :( very sad about it since it makes me think it’s toxic for my daughter and family.
