Anytime you drive a 3/8 or 1/2" socket from a 1/4 inch drive, you can expect the adapter to break eventually. I have a pretty standard usage pattern for these through my work and I typically get about 6 months out of a 3/8" adapter for other manufacturers. I think this one lasted through one use and broke on the second. There are lots of equivalent items out there that hold up far longer, I don't recommend these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as designed. *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2017* Excellent adapter set. No - they do NOT come with a holder - but I don't really need a holder. So far the 1/2 inch hasn't twisted off, so the metal is sturdy. But the "locking" referenced here is the quick-change portion on the 1/4" shank.
