There’s a lead and a 3 pin plug, so you just plug it in the socket, that’s it I’m afraid. In my opinion, this is a better way of charging and it takes less time. Just my opinion. **Q: Roughly how long does it take to charge 2 batteries?** A: This charged my batteries really quick, a lot faster than using the charging cable that comes with the batteries. I can't honestly remember how quickly, maybe 3/4 hours but don't quote on me on that! I do recommend it though!! **Q: is the power cable usb ?** A: The cable from the charging station is a USB connector,, but the product comes with a mains plug as standard, so you have the option of both types of charging. **Q: How long does the battery last** A: It all depends on the usage of the camera. The battery in my doorbell lasts around three weeks. But I've got batteries in my cameras in the back garden and I'm getting around 10/12 weeks from them. I also have one in my Ring Alarm outdoor siren (it powers the lit up Ring lettering) and I get 3 weeks max from that.
