I previously had the Howard Leight Impact sports, but in order to shoot 5.56 or anything bigger, you would need to double up with foam plugs in addition to the impact sports to not destroy your ear drums.After being to the range several times, I can say that these are awesome. I purchased an adapter that hooks up to my comms, although admittedly I have yet to use it.I do have three complains:1) The sound levels for the amplification could be higher.2) The strap thing that goes over the head is kind of gimmickey, I just removed mine.3) The mic is not removable and gets in the way and there's no evident way to remove it without destroying it.Beyond that, they're pretty solid for the price. I'd buy again. ### ⭐⭐ Worthless *by M***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2018* Good for hearing those around you, but the coms don't work. You can't hear anyone talking and when a transmission comes in you lose all hearing. Way to sensitive for the sound suppression, it muted on a twig snapping 20 feet away.
