The bulb fits well, but had to use a screw driver to bend the heat sink spring out of the way to get the bulb to fit. Beside that, the installation was very simple. I did lower the water level to make the installation a little easier. I do plan on buying the pool light bulb when that one dies. Robert made me feel like it was a priority to get this right. After exchanging several emails with him, he let me jknow they too had found the problem in their tests. My issue was that I had already put in a bulb that didn't work, replaced it with the second and it too was not functioning as it should have. I didn't want to take it out, put the fixture back in, pack the bulb, send it back and wait on another to go through it again. He sent out a new bulb without waiting for me to send in the one I had. He kept in touch to make sure the new bulb was right and did everything it was supposed to do.....and it did! Great colors and simple to control. This was without question, the best customer service experience I have had on any Amazon purchase. There is no question I will be buying more bulbs from them and I will recommend anyone who is looking to replace a tired, plain, dingy, old fashioned energy hog light in a pool or spa.....BUY THIS BULB! Save yourself some money way on the fixture, it's probably just fine! The fixtures seldom go bad so why spend the money to replace it?The rest of this review is from the original purchase.I ordered this bulb because I am trying to avoid the expense of replacing the entire fixture in the spa. The first one I received did not power on at all. The second powers on but the procedure of turning power on and off, does not affect the units' program. When you install the light be aware it seems like it doesn't fit in the fixture as it seems like its too high. The top of the light sits very close to the gasket. I thought maybe it would melt the gasket. I have had the light installed for 7 months with no issues. Highly recommend you replace old gasket with OEM gasket. Very easy to control the light show without remote as long as you have a way way to turn off power to the light. I also bought the LAMPIOUS Pool light for my Amerlite (model 78456300) fixture at the same time and haven't had any issues. Both lights easy to sync with each other.
