I would buy another one of these for sure.

I was expecting something much less sturdy for the price but this thing is actually really solid. Holding a ~17lb old 27" 16:9. Clamp has rubber-felt on one side so it doesn't damage your desk. Really no complaints, exactly what i expected. Now, I have a heavy monitor - and it weighs roughly what my Ultrawide does - so this is for anyone who is mounting one of those or a heavier monitor in general. I did what another reviewer did and removed the middle swinging arm, leaving just one arm and the mounting swivel. 2 reasons for this - with everything assembled as intended, the monitor would just out too far from the wall. Like 4-6" more than if it was no-arm mounted. So anyway, with that the pole is off-center for the monitor to be centered. This seems to be common as far as what others are doing. No biggie, it was a couple bolts. The other reason - with a monitor this heavy, opening both arms to full extension would not be very sturdy. Keep this in mind if that's your need. Having said this, I don't really see any design reason for this - I think that's just a matter of physics and leverage. I mean the bolts would give out at some weight-point anyway, but as far as a single-clamp desk-mount I feel like expectations for extension-distance should be tempered based on monitor weight. If your monitor weighs 10lbs, if you jut it out 2' it's going to be exerting more than 10lbs of force on the bolt holding the arm to the pole. No problem, but if it weighs 17lbs, you're pretty close to the posted weight limit. Bottom line, another model with a higher weight rating might be needed if you want to extend.(BTW no you can't remove both arms and use just the end-mount attached to the pole because of how the connectors work. But you can probably get a really short arm from the company, or perhaps get something else entirely without a swinging arm). The only reason I would get a different mount would be to not use an arm at all. I don't need the swing, but the price was right and I figured i could make it work - which I did.2 things jump out at me as concerns, mentioned in other reviews, but I don't think it's enough to not get this stand. Just for your consideration:The screws holding the bottom clamp-style mounting plate to the top mounting plate are just thick enough for the 2 plates, and are flush on the exit hole. As the other reviewer, I would also feel better with a longer bolt, washers, and a nut on the other side. That's $5 at Home Depot, and it's kind of a "when I get around to it" kind of thing. Surprising, considering the quality of the rest of the construction. This isn't really specific to this mount, but just a heads up for anyone using a plastic folding table as your desk: Someone else said they had a problem with bowing, but my concern is more that the bottom part of the clamp is clamped onto a metal bar and the plastic lip of the table. Those are 2 separate pieces. I could definitely see the bar wanting to fall toward me, and lifting the plastic part. As in it's not really clamping onto the metal bar. Not that it would fall necessarily, but might cause a warp or a severe lean - possibly messing up the center of balance or something, making the arms swing. At any rate I'm personally going to get like a 1x3 strip of wood and put that between the bottom of the table and the clamp. I think this would also help the bowing - maybe more so if there's a top plank as well. Having said all of this, I have it clamped to the table without anything extra and it's all good for the time being. (My table is the blow-extruded one not the resin-top one so that may be why the bowing isn't really an issue for me?)I would buy another one of these for sure if I was mounting another monitor. Cheap, well-built, and easily modifiable if needed.

I received all the wrong hardware for this and instructions looked like a 4th grader came up with them.

Good budget Stand if you don’t mind modding it in my case

*by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2018*

My 24” display was always to low causing me to slouch and hunch over causing posture problems when using my PC for long periods of time. I needed to raise it more to eye level than the OE stand would allow even with a monitor shelf. Looked at a few pole stands and couldn’t find anything tall enough. To be honest I was being cheap and expected to much for my allowed budget, then came across this one by accident after what seemed like days of searching online.Assembly was pretty straight forward. I didn't need to look at the instructions, but I'm pretty mechanically inclined so your mileage may vary. I ran into a problem as my older monitor was 200x100 vesa vs what's included so I made an adapter up out of aluminum, however half way through I came across some extra vesa extension arms from my TV mount which I also bought at the same time as this, and installed the day before that I didn't use so that solved my problem. After getting everything installed on the desk I noticed the monitor hinge at the vesa mount wouldn't support my monitor and just fall downward no matter how tight I got it. The smooth nylon bushings on smooth powder coated steel? Wasn't a great friction surface but after doing some research I noticed 90% of all mounts like this are like that and other reviewers of the product didnt have a problem it seemed. I didnt feel like sending it back and like I said, I was being cheap at the time due to other things so I just measured that faulty joint and drilled a few holes in it for adjust ability and put a small nail it it as a dowel to hold it in the position I wanted. I don't know what I did wrong compared to everyone else still but it works great now and I'm happy with it, especially for how cheap it was. Every other aspect of the arm and mount is fantastic. I just suggest being careful with the Alan hardware as it's soft metal (expected at this price point)and you can strip it easily. I was planning on replacing it down the road when I bought it because I thought for the cheap price it wouldn't last but 9 months later and it still works great! I'm upgrading to a 27" in a week so as long as it holds it fine (which it should being a lighter, more modern monitor vs my 13 year old Samsung 24" LCD) it's here to stay for good.
