That suggests poor molding process control and a defect that is likely to be seen on other sinks of this type. I had to carefully sand with fine grit to reduce (not eliminate) the defect. It still has the appearance of a crack right on the front top center lip of the sink. I kept the sink, but might have been happier returning it.
