**Q: Can you add essential oil to the water?**
A: No! Absolutely not. Essential oils don't mix with water and will destroy this steam cleaner.

**Q: Does this leave a lot of water on the floor? What is the temperature of the steam?**
A: No it doesn't leave water on the floor.  Tile is hot after steaming it. I also used it to clean my oven....not sure of the temp....but hot.

**Q: Can you use regular tap water?**
A: Good question! We recommend using distilled water in this steam mop.

**Q: Does it auto stop when water runs out?**
A: No, it does make a noise (not like an alarm but a clanking because it isn't able to draw water from the reservoir) though that will alert you that it needs refilled. It's pretty easy to keep an eye on it though since the water reservoir is right at the handle!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great but takes a LONG time

Was so excited to receive the BISSELL Power Steamer Heavy Duty 3-in-1 Steam Mop and Handheld SteamShot, 2685A, mostly for the SteamShot hand held part, after visiting a family member who showed how she "easily" cleaned the glass on her toaster oven. Mine was so bad I could not see through it (first picture). After unpacking my new 'toy' I got to work. At first I thought it was not working. After 10 min. there was no noticeable change. But after two hours I got it to about 80%(picture 2). It took over 3 hours to get to picture 3 which, to be honest, is not perfect. But it is SO MUCH better than where I started that I am happy. The BISSELL Power Steamer Heavy Duty 3-in-1 Steam Mop and Handheld SteamShot was easy to assemble. All the parts click together easily and easily come apart. But, they cannot come apart by accident. It comes with an amazing number of attachments, more than the similar BISSELL Powerfresh Slim Steam Mop, 2075A (white and blue). Heats up quickly but for some reason it stops sending steam every 4 - 5 min. After about 30 sec the steam resumes. The power cord is more than long enough to reach everywhere I need. When filled with water the SteamShot is quite heavy and after 3 hours my arm and hand was aching. I was wishing there was a trigger lock for the steam trigger. Holding it down for 3 hours was very uncomfortable. I found myself switching hands and turning it over (yes it works the same upside down). So, YES, I am happy I bought it and YES, I am keeping it but it is mostly a 4 star rather than a 5 star item just because it was MUCH more work than I expected to clean the toaster oven window. I want to clean the inside of the oven but cannot imagine tackling it today.
