It looks the part and has definitely helped protect my iPad. The pen compartment does a very good job in keeping the pen in place and stopping it falling off the side of the device. The clear back panel really sets this case off nicely, although it does show the dust and dirt which has a tendency to get trapped between the case and the iPad.
