They come with magnets on the back for hanging and they also include 2 sided sticky applicators if you want to use on a non-magnetic surface.Hubby thought I was a little crazy when I told him I was buying them so my armoire would light up for me to see my clothes whenever I opened the door. He's not laughing now! I only used one and it worked perfectly! It's been about 6 months and I haven't had to change the batteries at all.The second I mounted underneath a built in cabinet in the archway between living/dining areas and one on the pole of a floor lamp at the bottom of the stairs in the living room. They work wonderfully as night lights and couldn't be happier. Put the first three in various dark areas where it would not be practical to install wired lighting.Worked out so well I bought a couple more sets. Then another. There are now dark closets and pantries that light up nicely when the door is opened and the ambient light is low.
