Takes a couple minutes to put together but then again it takes only about a minute more than blowing up an air mattress. It's super comfortable, almost as good as a firm mattress. I was gonna use an inflatable on top but I don't think I'll need it unless I need more R value to insulate. Just threw a 2mm yoga mat on top and it's plenty, I'm estimating good down to 60 degrees. When camping below that I'll just put the air on top. The size is great for me. I'm 5,9 200lbs and am a side sleeper. At home I sleep with a pillow next to me to place my upper arm on. The advantage of this cot is that the parallel crossbar sits about mid chest level so all I need to do is place a hoodie on the crossbar and that arm is taken care of. I plan to take this backpacking. At 6 pounds it's not too costly on weight considering that it'll double as a camp chair. Anybody who's spent time backpacking or tent camping knows that the ground is not your friend. It can pop your air mattress, suck the heat outta you, put a bump where you don't want it, expose you to critters, or leave you sleeping in a tent through creek in the middle of the night. This cot solves all those problems. I like to hammock camp but California isn't friendly to hammock campers, too many regulations. If I know someone's gonna hassle me for wrapping a strap around a tree then to the cot I go. Now it's just the cot, a tarp, and my sleeping bag and I'm good on anywhere but a steep hill. I don't know about durability yet so I'll revise my rating if it doesn't hold up. The 2 concerns I have are the cot fabric and the ABS cinch lever to attach the cross beams. They coulda made the levers out of aluminum or steel but time will tell. I did a fair bit of research on cots before I decided on this one and so far I'm happy I did. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Customer Service *by G***. on April 8, 2023* I did have an issue with the first cot I received. I contacted the maker and they were great. I had an issue with one of the legs and they sent me a brand new cot right away.I use this cot for camping on the ice while ice fishing. I am limited on space and weight of what I can bring with me and this fits the bill.The cot itself is pretty cool. It packs very nicely. I couldn’t believe how small it was when taken apart but yet full size when assembled. I am 5’10” and 265 lbs. and the cot was more than big enough and supported me with no feeling of it failing. It is easy to assemble. It’s light weight when compared to some of the other cots on the market. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doesn’t fold down as small as I expected. *by A***N on April 14, 2024* Maybe I didn’t read into it well enough but I thought it folded down and stored in a much more compact manor. Its not terribly smaller than my full size cot when stored.
