It was a complete success. We used it in a sporting goods store to read labels with 12-digit ANSI barcodes for the most part. It reads other barcodes without any issues. Reading product codes is very convenient because it's wireless; you don't have to get tangled up in cables or have to place it in a fixed location. The battery life is extraordinary, easily lasting more than two months without needing to be recharged. We've been using it for several years now without any issues. It came shipped and packaged in a sturdy box and the instructions are written in grammatically correct English so right off the bat I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product, packaging and instructions. I was able to read all my bar codes from frequent shopping cards, loyalty cards, etc and it would input it directly into the PC app. The wireless dongle performed very well in how far you can be away from the computer as it collects info. I had my computer on the far side of my house on the second floor and I was able to have successful scans on the other side of the house on the first floor about 60 feet away. The scanner works very fast and provides an audible beep on every successful reading so its easy to know when you are not getting a read of a barcode. Some barcodes were acquired faster than others due to some scuffed up labels from being shipped but all the codes could be read. However with everything I like about this product and I must say there is little to not like, the one thing I was hoping for was the ability to be able to read bar codes off a smart phone screen display. My church uses scanners for kids check-in and this works great for a portable solution for scanning the kid's tags. Since people lose their key tags (but not their smartphones) I wanted to scan the bar codes directly from their smartphone stored bar code. Unfortunately it wasn't able to do that. This particular scanner uses a common laser scanner which isn't good at reading off an electronic display. You need a different technology other than laser for that. Seems to be a very solid product. Good at scanning even when the bar code is faded out, torn or dirty and most other scanners would have problems picking up. Has a nice loud beep. Very easy to use straight out of the box and already charged. Didn't need to do anything other than plug in the USB receiver and turn it on. Used it 15 to 20 times a day average for almost a month and still didn't need to recharge it yet. Only downside is doesn't scan the 2d codes some newer vehicles are starting to use. Will update my review six months from now to see how well it holds up.
