I did my research (or so I thought) and saw someone with a 34 waist stated that it fit right. I guess I did not take into account that the winter has proven to help pack on some pounds ;) In any case, I reached out to the manufacturer and they were kind enough to allow me to keep the incorrect size and send me an XL size at no charge. This is superb customer service and not something you see often nowadays.I want to be clear that while the gesture was excellent, it alone is not why the title of this review is "wonderful product". The title is because it REALLY is a wonderful product. The brace is top notch. I could not find a brace of any type locally for the cost of this one. And, the cost of this one is more reasonable than all of the others on Amazon. It might make you think that you are sacrificing something. Absolutely not. This brace is fantastic. I threw out my back in a bad was three weeks ago, and after two days of using this I already feel better and am nearly back to normal.Right price, superb product, excellent customer service. Those three make this a clear winner if you are in the market for one of these. I will recommend Venom to everybody I know! I'm a 5'7" woman with a 28" waist and unstable back caused by spondylolisthesis. This belt supports my lower back comfortably and allows flexibility without bulk.Other belts ride up, no matter how I adjust them. Even with the metal inserts, they ride up so the bottom of the belt sits on my waist. Not only is this uncomfortable, but the belt actually protects the middle back instead of the lower back. Because the Venom belt stays where it starts, it protects my lower back..This is also narrower than others I've tried, an advantage for me. Because it's relatively narrow, it allows flexibility of movement. It supports without rigidity. Similar belts I've tried are over 6 wide in the front and over 8 inches in the back for the smallest size. They are just too big for my frame.My experience has been that the company is easy to work with. Both they and their product did exactly what they said.
