It is merely one of their lines of socks. **Q: Since Gold Toe has refused to revert to their former manufacturer ( who made "fluffies"), can anyone recommend another sock?** A: I'm not sure what your concern is, but I've been buying Gold Toe socks in the highest cotton content for many years and still like them. They use different names for different versions of their socks, but I only like the "fluffies" style of all the ones I've tried. I haven't found any other brand that suits me. I like the thickness of these and the way the upper portion conforms to the leg without being too tight. Gold Toe makes other socks with mostly cotton content including the "cotton crew athletic socks" which I don't like because they're too thick. Others are too long or too tight. I'm not sure what was better about the "former manufacturer", but I'm staying with this version of cotton fluffies for now. **Q: The description says "86% combed cotton, 13 % nylon, 1% spandex". gt website says this style is 75% cotton. what is the actual fabric content?** A: Mine says 81% cotton, 18% nylon and 1% spandex. **Q: Where are they made? Just states imported.** A: Sorry. I am just a customer, not the manufacturer or importer.
