This mount is exactly that. Their TV is 50" which I believe is the max size for this mount so I was worried but the mount works great for it, strong enough to hold the TV and feels sturdy. The arm mount attaches to the TV and then it comes with 2 attachments for the wall so they are able to have one inside and outside. I did not want to keep a TV in either location. Great solution. I replaced an aging 43" 720p Plasma TV (heavy) in the bedroom with a new 43" 4K TV (about 16 lbs). I bought two additional bases as I needed 3 rather than 2. Mount plate to TV. Attach TV with plate to arm. (Based on reviews I was careful when screwing down plate to arm. This does seem a flimsy part of design.). The arm with TV slides into the base on the wall. Very secure. Now, when I want to watch the game outside, I simply move the TV from the bedroom to the deck or porch!A few notes. The arm (with TV) is not secured into the base unless you put in the screws. These are optional. I left them out to be able to just lift the TV/Arm out of the base.
