Each strand is terminated on one end and the other end is left blunt so that it can be spliced to your drop cable to eliminate the need of pesky field terminations. I also had several cleaves where the fiber basically shattered when the blade hit it. Of course, you don't know this until they appear on the display on the fusion splicer. I was also doing a ton of OM4, and everyone of those cleaves were perfect for both the fibers and the pigtails (from another company).
