I drove it for a few hours already, and it feels so much better than the stock knob. The machining, from knob itself down to the threads is top notch! Very well-made shift knob! The finish is super glossy and soft to touch, and it’s really easy to both palm the knob, and grip it from the side! Both feel just as satisfying! The weight is perfect! At least 2 times, if not 3 times as heavy as the stock one, which makes gear transitions extremely effortless. This really is a quality, ergonomic shift knob that both performs and looks better than stock! Would 100% buy again and recommend! Install: Apart from the trial and error of lining up the shift pattern, it took all but seconds. Just twist off the old one, put in the flange nut all the way down, put the thread adapter on and find the sweet spot where it lines up. Took me about 6-7 tries with an adjustable wrench. Im concerned about it getting to hot to touch during the hot weather.** A: Stainless steel, good weight and feel to it especially if you have larger hands. It does get hot and cold depending on the weather. Hot wasn't too bad but my windows are tinted. Cold however... I bought a knob sock from Blox racing for the cold. **Q: Can I get matt black with yellow numbers ?** A: Probably from the website you can submit a request. **Q: Will this fit a 2012 Ford Ranger??** A: It's specifically for the Focus ST/RS. It might fit, but probably not perfectly. **Q: How easy is it to install?** A: Super easy. The hardest part is getting the original knob off! It's kind of a pain to get perfectly straight, but just count the threads and note thread position and you'll get it on in a couple trys. It would have only taken me about 5 minutes if I hadn't forgot to check my reverse lock out ring clearance to start.
