For example, I ordered 42 waist for my husband but they were much too tight. I ended up ordering another brand (Haggar) that has an elastic insert on both sides seams that give up to 5 extra inches around the waist. That is one brand and those fit much better. Some of the pant made by golf brands mayalso have the elastic insert, and that (the elastic insert) is what you need to look for to get the extra room in the back. However it is important to note, many brands these days who use “vanity sizing” ( for example a size 34 waist , is actually 36 inches ). However Dickies use accurate sizing. So keep that in mind when you place your order.
