It's think, but not as thick as most battery cases. It's only 1 amp, so it'd didn't charge super fast. It also doesn't contain a full charge for me at least. I get about 80%. I also like the design. It's the easiest battery case that I've used to take in and off and feels good in the hand. Great buy for the price. It also has a lightning port vs a micro USB port, which is a big deal to me.Edit:. The plastic is starting to break in the thin area by ringer silence switch. Lowered rating.Edit 2: the battery life has been cut in half since I got it. I now only get half a change. However, for the last couple of weeks when I plug in the case to charge, it doesn't register that it's plugged in. Initially, I could plug in the case (attached to the phone) and both would be charged by morning. Now, I have to plug in my case AND phone SEPARATELY overnight to ensure a full charge of both, and sometimes that still doesn't work. I even bought new cords, thinking perhaps that would help.
