Volume is way to high when plugged directly into your phone. The mic is super sensitive. If you have a camera app that allows you to control the external mic volume, then 👍🏾👍🏾. If not, you will need an external source to route the mic through to control the volume. I'm using a LG G5 and LG V20... The audio is better on the V20 because of the built in quad dac. My suggestion, G5 users, get the quad dac attachment. The mic sounds better running through the quad dac. *update* I am currently using a IPhone 8 as my daily device. This mic works great for IPhone 8’s. It’s still a little sensitive, so you may not want to project your voice as much. You would still need app or external assistance to find true zero. Only issue for me is my iPhone doesn’t have a headphone jack and this plugs into that - have to use the dongle, but that’s not the fault of the product! Def recommend it, it’s a great price! ### ⭐ Mic was defective: sensitive to touch *by T***C on Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2018* Product looked fine, but when I tested it and compared it side-by-side with another lav mic, there were some obvious issues. This IMDEN mic was very sensitive to being touched. Even if you just lightly tap the wire, several inches away from the microphone, you can hear it in the recording. My other lav mic did not do this. Therefor, I will have to return the mic. It's not acceptable to have this extra noise in the mic. I tried to contact the seller twice, to give them an opportunity to rectify the problem, but they never replied.
