The chain is slightly smaller than how it looks in the pictures, but it’s definitely heavy duty enough to restrain even the biggest dogs. One improvement would be to make the two tie-outs a few inches longer. As it is, they’re shorter than the distance from the center of the main chain to the end. This means two things: 1) that I can’t clip the collar clips to the carabiners for storage, and 2) that my dogs can’t get quite close enough to the truck rail. I understand that there’s a safety aspect, but my dogs constantly tried to see around the cab, straining themselves and their collars, but couldn’t reach because the chain is too short. In the end, I bought two more quick links and another 6 inches of chain for each end.
