If you want to use this switch with two Macs and an Apple Studio monitor as displayed, you will also need a DisplayPort to Thunderbolt adapter. It can be a challenge to find one of these that will actually work in this directionality, since most are designed to take Thunderbolt in and put DisplayPort out, rather than the other way around.Also, you will lose any access to the Apple monitor's webcam, microphone, and its own built-in USB hub, etc., because DisplayPort won't send these signals back to your computer.If you don't care about these issues, then you may be happy with this device.
