Works great, and keeps me warm. Wool is naturally antibacterial so you don't have to worry about sweat smells after exercising. During cold spells, I sometimes wear the base layer 2 or 3 days in a row (though I don't use it for exercising) without worry. During these cold spells, the base layer, a fleece jacket, and a gore-tex jacket keep me sufficiently warm for everyday use.The Helly Hansen base layer is very comfortable, and it fits snugly (which is what you want in a base layer). The flat lock seams prevent itching and chafing. There may be other base layers that are comfortable and warm, but for the price I think you cannot go wrong.
